Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon, 26, pays homage to her famous mom’s 1998 Frozen music video as she goes NUDE in clip for her new song

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon channeled her famous mom in a new music video for her song Spelling.

The 26-year-old artist shared the clip to her Instagram and YouTube on Tuesday, revealing it was inspired by her mom’s ‘timeless’ video for song Frozen, released in 1998.

Lourdes, who also appeared nude in the video at one point, wrote a sweet caption as she praised the Material Girl, 65.

‘This piece is very special. It’s an homage to my mother’s timeless piece of art, Frozen,’ she wrote.

‘That piece has come up countless times in my life, connecting the two of us. I would be nothing without the woman who brought me into the world. I revere her, and hope that this translates.’

The clip, which was shot at Ashokan Acres, drew heavy inspiration from the original – from its dark blue hues to Lourdes playing a similar ethereal, witch-like character with long flowing raven tresses.

The video starts out in a dark forest, as it zooms in on Lourdes, who is floating in mid-air, wearing an eerie black dress.

Her arms are wrapped up with a black cloth, and her eyes are ghostly white.

As she floats in the air, with her hair drifting in the wind, the star begins to softly sing.

‘I am constant/ you stay in the water/ Remind me/ Followin’ friend path forever/ Cyclical, bicycle, forever.’

In the next minute the star changes from a floating figure into a flock of black birds.

She then reappears inside the foggy forest, clad in silver studded black underwear, a matching belt and bra.

Lourdes begins verse two: ‘Don’t want my feet to touch the sand/ Carry me on your back/ Why can’t he succumb to my desires/ Why can’t we light the flame to my fire?’

Spelling was directed by Claire Farin, and produced by Isabel Levin.

It comes 25 years after Madonna released the video for Frozen, the lead single from her seventh studio album, Ray of Light.

The song was a success with fans and critics alike.

In the United States, it became her sixth single to peak at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.

The music video for Frozen was directed by Chris Cunningham, was filmed at Cuddeback Lake in California.

It won a Moonman for Best Special Effects in a Video at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards.
