Chris Brown drops scathing diss track firing back at Quavo: ‘People wished you died instead of Takeoff’

Chris Brown dropped a new diss track, titled Weakest Link, aimed at rapper Quavo amid their ongoing feud.

The 34-year-old Grammy winner did not hold back on the scathing song, in which he goes as far as saying: ‘R.I.P. Takeoff, he the only real one, I got true respect. Crazy how when he died, everybody really wished it was you instead.’

The track is in response to Quavo’s recent song, Tender, in which he calls out Brown’s history of domestic abuse.

The title of the song is a throwback to what the Look At Me Now rapper called Quavo’s status in the rap collective Migos.

Brown also details an incident where he ran into Quavo, 33, at Fashion Week and resisted the urge to beat him up.

Weakest Link is the latest track in the rappers' back and forth battle with each other

Their feud dates back to 2017 when Quavo started dating Brown's ex Karrueche Tran

Brown also takes aim at Quavo’s violent past, including the time in 2021 where he fought rapper Saweetie in an elevator.

As explosive as those lyrics are, they pale in comparison to the lines Brown drops about his ex-girlfriend  Karrueche Tran whom Quavo went on to also date.

‘You f**ked my ex-ho, that’s cool, I don’t give no f**k, lil n***a,’ he raps. ‘Cause I f**ked yo’ ex when you were still with her, b***h, I’m up.’

It is not clear if Brown is referring to Saweetie or another woman. However this nugget of news reveals that the beef between the two rappers is more serious than fans had previously known.

To be fair, Quavo hit Chris where it hurts – he went after his history of beating ex-girlfriend, Rihanna.

In Tender, Quavo raps: ‘You did the b***h wrong and now the b***h gone, she posted with a thug… Call the b***h phone, she won’t come home, don’t beat her up/It must be the drugs, need to cross out your plug.’

In the second verse he says: ‘Tell me lil bro, what’s your issue?/It’s over a t**t/You said it’s bigger than that, but no, it is not/It’s cause I be digging in that, it got ’em hot/I’m giving respect but I know you not/Your b***h on my neck, your b***h at the spot.’

Tender was in response to Brown’s track Freak off his 11:11 album. The song is a collaboration with Lil Wayne, Tee Grizzley and Joyner Lucas

Brown raps: ‘Okay, now f**kin’ my old b***hes ain’t gon’ make us equal. Sippin’ that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Cuervo/Freak b***h, she like Casamigos, not the Migos.’

Weakest Link's lyrics are absolutely scathing and go as far as to say: 'R.I.P. Takeoff, he the only real one, I got true respect. Crazy how when he died, everybody really wished it was you instead'

There was speculation that the two rappers had made up when they were seated next to each other at Paris Fashion Week.

However, Brown made it clear that wasn’t the case.

‘Can’t pick who you sit by,’ he wrote on Instagram. ‘F**k all that growth s**t. N***a not finna fumble my bag for little n****s.’
