Aaron Boone hilariously mocks umpire Laz Diaz after the Yankees manager is ejected for arguing balls and strikes

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone hit the showers early in Monday night’s game against the Chicago White Sox after arguing balls and strikes with home plate umpire Laz Diaz.

Diaz, who has consistently been one of the most inaccurate umpires in Major League Baseball over the years, rang up New York shortstop Anthony Volpe on a called strike three in the eighth inning that looked like it just missed the edge of the plate.

Boone was seen on a replay screaming, ‘Laz what the f**k are you doing’ at the umpire – leading to his ejection.

That sent the manager sprinting out of the dugout and getting right in Diaz’s face. The umpire, never one to back down from a shouting match, gave it right back to Boone.

Then, the Yankees manager drew a line in the dirt – where he thought the pitch traveled – then crouched behind the plate before mocking Diaz’s ‘strike three’ punch out signal.

The pair continued their heated conversation for a few more moments before Boone eventually retreated down the dugout step and back into the visitor’s clubhouse.

Boone has been ejected for the sixth time this season – the most of any other manager in the American League this year.

It was a night of frustration for the Yankees – who lost 5-1 to the White Sox on a night they left 13 men on base.
